About the ICC Hall of Fame
The ICC Cricket Hall of Fame was launched in 2009 during the ICC Centenary celebrations. It initially inducted 55 of the greatest cricketers in history, representing the sport's rich heritage across all eras. Since then, new inductees have been added each year, continuing to honour outstanding contributions to the game.
The Hall of Fame recognises cricketers from both the men's and women's game, acknowledging that excellence in cricket transcends gender. Inductees are chosen by a voting academy comprising cricket journalists, commentators, former players, and ICC officials. Each inductee receives a commemorative cap and is honoured at a special ceremony.
